More oil from Gullfaks

  2015 July 22
Production from the Gullfaks South (GSO) fast-track project for improved oil recovery in the North Sea started on 27 July. GSO will increase the output from the Gullfaks .

Underlining the fact that in the past 4 months no injuries has occurred in SC1 Area of Phase 19, Engineer Nabi Shoja’ee, HSE Manager of Phase 19 Site, commented that with regard to the vast area covered by SC1 of Phase 19, special supervision has been exerted and practiced by the HSE Team of Petropars. Further, as the Anomaly Report System is already operational and is implemented by Petropars, the major contractor of SC1 Area, i.e. Dorriz Company, was convinced that they should also execute the same system.
He went on to add that in the course of the past 4 months, 10,000 Anomaly Reports have been recorded in this Area resulting in registration of one million man/hour work without LTI.
The Senior Expert of SC1 Area, Mahmoud Kazemi, stated “We have successfully taken the first step and we will continue to do so. The global records of other international companies are usually reported and registered in the form of “one million man/hour” and as long as there takes place no incident, the same record remains valid.”
He noted that reliable attempts have been made to asses and evaluate risks in SC1 Area of Phase 19 and expressed hope that the same trend would continue so that we witness no incident and interruption in works in the future.
He commented that this achievement was made possible as a result of supports extended by Engineer Pilehchian, Phase 19 Onshore Facilities Project Manager, as well as Engineer Dehkordi, Phase 19 Onshore Facilities Project Executive Manager.
It is worth noting that SC1 Area of Phase 19 is included among the activities and operations undertaken by Dorriz Company, which is one of the 4 major contractors involved in Phase 19 of South Pars Gas Field Development Project.
