The flare of Boiler A of Phase 19 Refinery went afire 4 days earlier than the time schedule set to this end. Subsequently, upon completion of the required operations by colleagues from different departments of Phase 19, Boiler A of Phase 19 Refinery was successfully commissioned.
A report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group states that upon going afire of the flare and initiation of alkaline washing of Boiler A, a significant step was taken for commissioning of the Boilers and for the process of supplying steam for the refinery.
In the wake of the said measures and upon completion of alkaline washing of Boiler A of Phase 19 Refinery, which started on July 10, 2015 and end on the same day, and after the Boiler was completely washed and when the pre-commissioning operations were completed, it was on Sunday July 12, 2015 when Boiler A of Phase 19 Refinery was successfully commissioned, relying on the unsparing attempts made by untiring colleagues from different departments of Phase 19.
Upon commission of Boiler A, production of steam by this unit will start and consequently another significant step was taken to achieve one of the main milestones of this project.
The same report states that the steam generated by this plant will be used for Steam Flashing of some pipelines inside the Refinery until such time when other units of the Refinery are commissioned.
