South Pars Phase 1 Platforms Revamping

Upon completion of SPD1 platform gas revamping project,

Upon completion of SPD1 platform gas revamping project, South Pars Phase 1 platforms production capacity will increase by one billion cubic feet.
A report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group reads that the executive operations of the 3rd stage of the Project for South Pars Phase 1 Platforms Revamping were completed under the management of Petropars and the operational tests were successfully administered.
Upon completion of the said Project, SPD1 platform will independently produce one billion cubic feet of gas per day. Consequently, SPD2 platform will be detached from Phase 1 to join Phase 19 of South Pars.
The same report states that the 3rd stage of the Project for revamping project was completed 10 days earlier than the time schedule set to this end, compared to the number of days gas production from platforms was interrupted. This accomplishment was achieved as the result of steering, precise planning and continuous supervision over the executive operations of the project by Phase 1 Project team from Petropars and the three-party cooperation among project teams from Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Petropars and IGC.
Phase 1 of South Pars produces 28.3 million cubic feet of gas from two wellhead platforms and the operations for separation of the water accompanying gas are performed on the platform. Further, the gas and the LNG are transferred in two phase to the onshore using a sub-sea 32-inch pipeline which measures 105 Km in length.
Presently, 25 million cubic feet of refined gas are introduced into the national gas grid using a 56-inch pipeline, and 40,000 barrels of LNG, after passing through two units of LNG stabilization, are transferred to the reserve tanks for exportation.
In addition, the S2H separated in the sweetening unit is introduced into sulfur recycling plant to produce on a daily basis 200 tons of granulated sulfur to be transferred by trucks to the automated sulfur storage-house.
Considering that the 2 border phases, namely Phase 1 and Phase 19, are closely located at South Pars Gas Field, and since SPD1 platform of Phase 1 already produces one billion cubic feet of gas, SPD2 platform with its 6 production wells will be transferred to Phase 19.
