The 4th National Conference on Promotion of Domestic Capabilities was held on December 23-24, 2012 (Dey 3-4 1391) at the place of International Conferences Center of Oil Industries Research Institute and was attended by the Managing Director of Petropars to examine the approaches and options which may be adopted to eliminate the hurdles and remove the obstacles which hinder productions under sanctions.
According to a report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars, this Conference which was held for 2 days at the place of International Conferences Center of Oil Industries Research Institute, and which was organized jointly by the Ministry of Petroleum and Sharif University of Technology, was attended by the Minister of Petroleum, Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Industries, Mines and Commerce, Dr. Mehdi Ghazanfari, Chairman of ICA Energy Commission, Dr. Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi, Petropars Managing Director, Mohammad-Javad Shams, state mangers and university chancellors who delivered their speeches and addresses as scheduled on the related topics.
Included among the points which were highlighted by Mohammad-Javad Shams as effective for encouragement of contractors were creation of stimulus and impetus for the contractors for timely completion of the projects, costs control, development of joint benefits for Petropars and contractors in order to expedite completion of the projects and return of the benefits and interests generated by the investments made. He stated “Under the present circumstances, we should spare no effort to safeguard the company’s interests. As entities which are working inside Iran, the contractors should reasonably put part of their capital at the disposal of projects.”
Managing Director of Petropars further commented “If the ground is paved to this end, we will definitely be able to experience dynamic and efficient achievements and more organic relation with the work as a unitary whole. Consequently; the stage will be set for undertaking more works and projects. Under such conditions, the national capacity and capability for more executive works will naturally be boosted.”
To conclude his remarks, Managing Director of Petropars said “I believe, taking into consideration the plans and programs which are due to be executed, South Pars is the best region ever for making investments there. Hence, competent contractors who are well-experienced and who have sufficient capital for implementation of large-scale projects are expected to play more efficient roles in execution and completion of different projects there.”
