The first jacket of Phase 12 of South Pars Gas Field Development Project was loaded in Khorramshahr Yard on Monday Mehr 10, 1391 (October 1, 2012) and headed for the Persian Gulf to be erected shortly.
According to a report by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars, the first jacket of Phase 12 of South Pars Gas Field Development Project, which is the most significant and largest Project under construction South Pars was loaded in the course of a ceremony which was attended by Mousa Souri, the Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Mohamad-Javad Shams, the Managing Director of Petropars as the Employer of the Project, Dr. Ali Taheri, the Managing Director of IOEC as the Contractor which has undertaken to construct and fabricate the jacket, as well as other managers and directors involved in Phase 12 Project one way or other.
The Jacket, which is to be harnessed in about two weeks, and which will be erected on Base 12A of Phase 12 of South Pars, weighs 3,260 tons and measures 4,410 square meters in area. The accessories of the Jacket include 2 tripod jackets together with piles, weighing 1,700 tons, 2 connection bridges, which weigh 369 tons, a medial deck weighing 106 tons, and a flare together with the related platform which weighs 185 tons. All accessories, excluding the connection bridges, have already been erected.
It is worth stating that Phase 12 of South Pars Gas Field Development Project constitutes three main jackets and one satellite jacket which, in conformity with the contracts concluded to this end, the fabrication, construction and erection of three jackets was assigned to IOEC.
Based on the report, upon completion of erection of the first jacket, the second and third jackets, which are under construction and fabrication in Khorramshahr Yard, will soon be ready for loading.
