By 22nd September of 2012, the third jacket of South Pars Gas Field - phase 19 will be completed and prepared for installation in Persian Gulf.
In an interview with the project executive of phase 19 of South Pars Gas field Development, he stated that jackets C19 and A19 of this phase have just installed in the location in question, while drilling operation of five wells are well in progress.
He announced that the construction of phase 19’s jacket has completed in Khoramshahr yard. He also added that B 19 Jacket will be constructed and ready to be installed by Sep. 22, 2012 in Iranian Offshore Engineering Co.’s yard, adding that drilling plan for the above said five wells has been devised.
“Those two decks of this boundary phase are concurrently constructed in Iranian Offshore Engineering Co.’s yard, while 97 percent of materials required for construction of C19 deck have been procured”, Masoodi told our reporter and added that phase 1 of South Pars Gas Field Development has two operational SPD1 and SPD2 platforms. One platform is used for production of one billion cubic feet of gas while the other will be allocated to faze 19 of South Pars Gas Field with six wells based on new plan after updating. The latter, i.e. SPD2 of phase one’s operational platforms will be attached to phase 19’s.
He further stated that design and construction of 115- Km pipe line has been finalized and pipe laying has been carried out in coastal area. At the same time, 4 inches pipe (which are) relevant to this phase will be laid towards C19 platform, in the meantime materials and equipment for the second 32- inch pipe will be supplied and laid soon.
He said, SPD2 platform is connected to main C19 platform via an 18- inch pipe; while required materials of these pipes have been prepared. They will be laid when the pipe laying ship comes for this operation. Furthermore, he added that 15 gas wells are predicted to be dug for this development project which their number will be increased to 21 by considering second part of phase one’s platform.
Based on this report, Iranian consortium including Petropars Co., Iranian Offshore Engineering Co. are responsible for development of this common section of South Pars Gas Field. South Pars Gas Field Development is under construction with the aim of production of 50 million cubic meter of sweet gas per day, 75 thousand barrels of natural gas condensate, 400 tons of sulfur, 10.5 million tons of liquid gas per year and one million tons of ethane.
