Salman Gas Field Wells Repair Underway Already

In the course of a visit paid by Petropars Group CEO to Salman Gas Complex, the operations for repair of wells of the field were kicked off.
According to a report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, in the wake of conclusion of a contract between POSCO and Iranian Offshore Oil Company for the repair of 4 wells located in Salman gas field, a joint meeting was held on April 10, 2016 by the managers and directors of the Employer and CEO of Petropars Group on DD4 drilling rig to start repair and drilling operations.
It should be noted that the repair operations are scheduled to completed within 9 months though the time period may be extended to 13 months.
As the Iranian Offshore Oil Company has declared that they need to have some 200 oil and gas wells, which are not productive and operational for different reasons, repaired, hopefully upon successful repair of the said 4 well by Salman Project Team, it will prove feasible to expand and develop cooperation between POSCO and Iranian Offshore Oil Company as one of the major Employers in Iran’s oil and gas industries.
