Minister of Oil at the Signing Ceremony of the Contract for Farzad-B Gas Field Development: Petropars is a national honor
The Minister of Oil described Petropars as a national honor and hoped that its valuable services would go on for Iran at the signing ceremony of the Farzad B joint gas field development plan.
According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group in the ceremony, held on Monday May 16, Bijan Zanganeh, Minister of Oil, said: “Various scenarios were examined for the development of this field to reduce the costs and supply its financial resources. Implementation of this project is far harder than South Pars and its investment figure is double.”
About the previous talks to develop the project, he said: “The Indians were unwilling to come to the project areas, we negotiated with them twice and even agreed that they do not to build liquefied natural gas (LNG), but they refused to develop the field because of the sanctions again.
By referring to the support of the Ministry of Oil for the empowerment of domestic companies, the Minister of Oil said: “We tried hard to strengthen Iranian companies and Iranian companies have been very successful during this period, of which Petropars is an example.”
He went on: “Now Petropars has become a national honor and God willing, its valuable services to the nation will continue.”
In this ceremony, the contract for the development of Farzad B field worthing 1 billion and 780 million dollars was signed between Pars Oil and Gas Company and Petropars Company as a mutual sale to reach 28 million cubic meters of sour gas per day in five years.
