New step by Petropars Group to rise 10,000 barrel production in South Azadegan OilField/ Digging 10 well assigned to domestic contractor
In line with the realization of this year’s maxim “Production, Procurements and Removing the Barriers” and implementing the law on maximum usage of domestic production and servicing potentiality and supporting Iranian goods, a contract on drilling 10 new wells in Southern Azadegan Field was concluded between Petropars Group and Dana Energy Company.
According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group, Petropars Group CEO emphasized on maximum utilization of domestic potentiality in executing relevant plans and projects: “This is an EPDS contract including such services as engineering, procurement, drilling, drilling services and finalizing 10 new well and will be executed within 16 months.”
Concerning the types of wells, Mr. Hamid Reza Masoudi explained: “by this contract, 9 producing wells and a well to remove wastewaters will be dug.”
He asserted that the relevant contractor is selected through a tender and competition against other eligible contractors and added: “based on this contract, it is predicted that by installing drilling rigs, total 40km of drilling operations will be conducted.”
Concerning expected results from commissioning these well, Petropars Group CEO asserted: “according to planning, by commissioning these 9 wells, the production of over 10,000 barrels per day will be added to South Azadegan OilField’s production and, as a result, domestic crude oil production through put will be increased.”
Ultimately, Mr. Masoudi stated: “this contract is signed between two companies in line with macro-economic goals and by the aim of improving extraction from joint fields and returning to global market in order to be another steps toward realizing maximum production in the first phase of developing South Azadegan OilFiel "
