The remainder 15 wells in South Azadegan Oil Field decided and Iranicized/a foundation for an increase of 18,000 barrels in South Azadegan Oil Field
With the signing of the contract for transferring 15 new wells in South Azadegan Oil Field between Petropars CO. and one of the divisions of the Executive Headquarters of Imam's Directive, all the wells of the field were decided and an executive contractor was assigned, said the CEO of Petropars Group.
According to Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group, Hamidreza Masoudi asserted that this contract was signed between Petropars and Tadbir Drilling Development Company in association with macroeconomic policies and an aim to expand harvest of joint fields and return to international markets, laying emphasis on the realization of the slogan “production, support, and removal of barriers”.
Pointing out that South Azadegan Oil Field has 206 wells, 35 of the remainder wells are on the agenda of Petropars, he added that 10 wells were assigned to the national drilling company, and the drilling of 10 wells was signed during two almost simultaneous contracts with Energy Dana Co. and 15 wells with Tadbir Drilling Development Company, so that all the remainder wells of the joint field were drilled and completed with Iranian contractors.
Petropars managing director announced that all 206 wells of the first phase of South Azadegan Oil Field were decided by transferring this contract.
Stressing the enforcement of the act of maximum use of the country’s production and service power and the support for Iranian goods in the implementation of plans and projects of this company, the CEO of Petropars Group held that this contract was concluded on EPDS basis, including engineering service, purchase, drilling and drilling services, which includes the drilling of 15 new wells and completion of two suspended wells within 20 months.
Pointing out that a total of 56,000 m of drilling will be done, he said that the abovementioned contractor undertook to drill and complete 10 new horizontal wells, 4 new vertical wells, and one new well for effluent discharge by using land drilling devices.
Masoudi added that it was envisaged that, in addition to the drilling of the abovementioned wells, we proceed with the harvest of the joint field of South Azadegan with an increase of 18000 barrels per day.
The managing director of Petropars Group stated that we expect the drilling of the wells to be done in the shortest possible time given the supply and readiness of some devices and commodities required in this contract.
In the end, he added that we can touch on peckers, well crowns, safety valves inside the wells, wall pipes, etc., all of which were supplied and purchased by means of manufacturers’ and domestic companies’ capabilities in line with the act of maximum use of the country’s production and service power and the support for Iranian goods, including the most important commodities and equipment built and purchased for the implementation of this plan by the contractors and direction and management of Petropars Group.
