Cuban Ambassador: Iran has high potential to develop Cuban oil industry
In his visit to Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Assaluyeh, Cuban Ambassador asserted: "Iran and Petropars Company have high potential to develop Cuban oil industry."
According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group, during his visit to Pars Special Economic Zone along with Deputy of Cuban Oil Union, Petropars Group Chairman and some managers, Mr. Gonzales appreciated Petropars Group for arranging this meeting and said: "it was a very valuable visit and we are assured that necessary capacities exist to start cooperation and work relations in oil and gas industries of both nations."
He expressed his pleasure on Iran's achievement to oil technologies and added: "in oil technology section, Cuba needs Iran's help since a part of our existing refineries are getting obsolete and we need to reconstruct worn – out facilities."
This Cuban diplomat referred to his meeting with President Ayatollah Rayisi in a few day ago and asserted: "in this meeting, Iranian distinguished President emphasized on cooperation between two countries to break sanctions and announced Iran's readiness to create a cooperation space which is mutually useful."
Noteworthy, this two – day visit on June 26 & 27 2002 was organized due to the attendance of Cuban Oil Union authorities in Iran and their negotiations with Petropars Group to start cooperation and developing Cuban oil and gas industry. The aim of this delegation was getting more familiar with Iranian oil and gas capabilities. The delegation visited phase 12 of South Pars Refinery, drilling platform in South Pars phase 11 and also Noory Petrochemical.
