Successful Roll-Up of the "Belal" Jacket
According to the public relations and international affairs department of Petropars Group, the roll-up of the Belal jacket was successfully conducted in a ceremony attended by Farrokh Alikhani, CEO of Petropars Group; Mohyeddin Jafari, Project and Programs Manager of Pars Oil and Gas Company; Farshid Shahriari, Project Manager of the Belal Gas Field Project; Alipour, CEO of Sadra Company; and a group of senior managers of the Belal project at the Sadra yard.
The roll-up is one of the most critical parts of the jacket construction operation. Following this, the drilling of eight development wells by POSCO, the drilling arm of Petropars Group, will commence.
According to the report, the construction of the Belal wellhead jacket by Iran Marine Industrial Company (Sadra) is 60% complete at the Bushehr yard. This jacket, which stands 74.6 meters tall and weighs 2,900 tons, will be loaded for offshore transport according to the scheduled plan by late September and will be installed at the Belal project site by the second week of November, after the procurement, engineering, and clearance of necessary equipment from customs.
Given the priority of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) in developing and exploiting the country’s shared oil and gas fields, the Belal gas field holds significant importance for domestic development and exploitation.
The development of the Belal gas field has been entrusted by NIOC to Petropars as the general contractor, under the supervision of Pars Oil and Gas Company, within the framework of a GC contract. The project has a daily production capacity of 500 million cubic feet of gas.
