Signing of the Drilling and Completion Contract for Bilal Gas Field Wells
The drilling and completion contract for eight production and appraisal wells as part of the development plan for the eastern section of the South Pars Gas Field (Bilal) was signed between Petropars and the Petropars Oilfield Services Company (POSCO).
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group, the contract signing ceremony for drilling and completing eight production and appraisal wells for the Bilal Gas Field development plan was held on Wednesday, June 21st. It was attended by board members and senior managers of the Petropars Group and signed by Dr. Alikhani, CEO of Petropars, and Engineer Mardan Dezfouli, CEO of Petropars Oilfield Services Company (POSCO).
Under this contract, which includes engineering, procurement, drilling, and studies, the Petropars Well Services Company (POSCO) will drill and complete eight wells in the Bilal Gas Field. This includes six production wells (development), one appraisal well (evaluation-training), and one exploratory well, with a total value of $230 million, to be executed over 32 months.
The contract signing ceremony for drilling and completing the eight wells in the eastern section of the South Pars Gas Field (Bilal) took place following a tender involving representatives from the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) and the participation of Dana Energy and Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company. The Petropars Oilfield Services Company (POSCO) was announced as the tender winner.
It is noteworthy that POSCO, as one of the Petropars Group companies that has executed various onshore and offshore oil and gas drilling services in different fields, is currently implementing three projects: the development and completion of wells in the Bilal Gas Field, Forouzan Oil and Gas Field, and Cheshmeh Khosh. The development contracts for all three projects were awarded to POSCO following successful tenders.
The objective of the development plan for the eastern section of the South Pars Gas Field (Bilal), assigned to Petropars Group by the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) under a general contractor (GC) agreement, is to achieve a daily production capacity of 500 MMSCFD (500 million cubic feet of gas).
