Oil Substation of CTEP Project Now Operational
Another Step Toward Early Start-Up of the South Azadegan Central Processing Unit
"Oil Electric Substation" Central Processing Unit of South Azadegan Square (CTEP) was put into operation.
According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of petropars group, the “Oil Substation” of the South Azadegan Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP), which is responsible for providing electricity to the auxiliary facilities and oil processing units, has been commissioned. This marks another significant step toward the early start-up of the CTEP project.
To date, two of the three substations planned for the CTEP project have been constructed and commissioned. According to the current schedule, the “Gas Substation” will be operational within the next month.
Petropars Group, in line with the policies of the Ministry of Oil and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to increase oil and gas production and address the energy imbalance in the country, is leading the development of the South Azadegan shared oil field, with a production target of 50,000 barrels per day in the first phase.
It is worth noting that the construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of the Oil Substation were completed without the assistance of external contractors, thanks to the round-the-clock efforts of Petropars Iran’s staff and the Petropars Management and Operations Company (POMC).
