Announces Plans for the Installation of the Phase 11 Jacket at the SP11A Location
The jacket roll-up operation of the phase11 of the South Pars gas field at the SPD11A location was successfully completed with the presence of Dr. Hamidreza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group.
According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group, the installation operation for the Phase 11 jacket, located at SP11A, is underway with the presence of Seyed Mohyeddin Jafari, Deputy of Development Projects at Pars Oil and Gas Company, Mohammadreza Rajayi, Project Manager for Phase 11 Development at Pars Oil and Gas Company, Ali Nediran, Phase 11 Development Project Manager at Petropars, Manouchehr Alipour, CEO of Iranian Marine Industrial Company (SADRA), along with several senior managers from Petropars Group and contracting companies involved in the Phase 11 project.
During the visit, Dr. Hamidreza Saqafi, CEO of Petropars Group, emphasized the importance of the development of Phase 11 of the South Pars gas field in addressing the gas shortfall in the country. He noted that through the operational commitments made for Phase 11, and with the efforts of the project’s teams, the gas imbalance affecting industrial and domestic consumption will be significantly reduced. Dr. Saqafi reiterated that Petropars is fully committed to meeting its obligations to ensure energy security for the country through the development of the South Pars gas field.
He further emphasized that once Phase 11 of South Pars is completed and operational, the field’s production capacity will reach 56 million cubic meters of gas per day. He expressed confidence that, with the efforts of Petropars’ dedicated team, the installation of the SP11A jacket will be completed as scheduled by February 2024.
The CEO also mentioned that the construction of the SP11A four-legged jacket, which has now completed its roll-up phase, began in early June 2024 at the Bushehr yard by SADRA. With the planning and preparations made by the project management team at Petropars and the contractors, it is expected that the jacket will be ready for installation at the SP11A location according to schedule.
Dr. Saqafi also provided updates on the ongoing drilling operations for wells in the South Pars Phase 11 gas field. He noted that after the SP11A jacket is installed, the drilling rig will be positioned on-site, and drilling operations will commence. He expressed optimism that, with the collaboration of Pars Oil and Gas Company and the contractors, stable energy production from Phase 11 will be achieved.
During the roll-up operation of the SP11A jacket, Dr. Saqafi engaged with the workers and contractors, addressing their concerns and providing strategic guidance. He assured them that efforts would be made to resolve any challenges they face.
